Notice is hereby given for the 2023 Upnor Sailing Club race series for cruisers.
The series is open to all members of Upnor Sailing Club.
The series shall consist of 5 races and be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing 2021–2024 and RYA Prescriptions.
The series will be scored progressively using the Royal Yachting Association National Handicap for Cruisers, low score Appendix A. Final results will use your 4 best results with worst result discarded.
All races in the series will be white sails only. (No spinnakers)
The class flag for all races will be the club burgee.
Check your insurance cover’s you for club racing.
Entries should be received by the race organising committee or race captain ideally no later than 1 week prior to the posted start time although late entries can be received on the day.
Final sailing instructions will be posted on the day of the race and will, where possible and with due consideration to conditions and weather, be as the advertised course.
Information on joining open races will be posted as and when details are available.
